Kelly Lindsey, M.D.

Board certified by the American
Academy of Pediatrics in pediatric medicine, Dr. Lindsey received her medical
degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. She
completed a three-year pediatric residency at the USAF Medical Center Keesler.
She served in the Air Force as Chief of Pediatrics in Mississippi, Missouri,
Texas, and California.
Those
who practice in pediatrics the specialty concerned with the health of infants,
children, and adolescents will tell you there is no more rewarding specialty in
all of medicine.
Today’s
pediatricians put utmost emphasis on preventive healthcare. Childhood killers
such as diphtheria, meningitis and bacterial pneumonia are less threatening due
to the advent of highly effective immunizations and antibiotics. More energy is
put into ensuring the growth and development of healthy children and in
maintaining their health as they mature into young adults.
The
ideal way to begin your relationship with your child’s pediatrician is to
schedule a prenatal visit. Dr. Lindsey does not charge expectant parents for
this essential appointment.
Dr. Lindsey is available to you 24 hours a day
if your child has a medical emergency. Her staff and nurses have been trained to
help callers decide if a child needs an appointment; her nurses can answer many
of your questions as well.
An informed patient is a
more satisfied patient.
Your AMS pediatrician believes in explaining
your child’s condition in detail, providing literature on his or her illness
or treatment, and generally making certain that you understand the recommended
care. Your questions are always welcome, and either Dr. Lindsey or her
well-trained staff will supply you with the answers you need.
